I don't think its been this bad since the Civil War. It scars me that's where were heading again. We use to be a country that respected others beliefs and differences, but now this has changed. It use to be that we were Left or Right now it seem like its Freedom or Socialism. Our founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they could see what has happened to this Great Republic.It saddens me to see that people cant even enjoy a dinner out without being mobbed, not because they are a celebrity, but because they have a different belief that someone else. Its was terrible that Ted Cruz and his wife were forced out of a restaurant while trying to have dinner. What are we coming to what happened to our respect for each other.Here is a question that people need to ask themselves if America is not great, then why is everyone from other countries trying to come here? If Capitalism is bad, then why has a lot of the European and Asian nations starting to embrace it. The sad thing is as they embrace Capitalism here at the United States were trying to get rid of it.Why would anyone want Socialism or total government control. I guess we have become so lazy that we want everything given to us. Actually I should change the want to entitled to it. The thing is the money has to come from somewhere. There is only so much of it out there. I hear people all the time say the government should give it to us. Well where do they think the money is going to come from. I will give those that don't know where its going to come from a hint. IT's YOU that's were its going to come from. One of the problems with this is it creates a society of haves and have nots. Food, water, electricity and all others things that we take for granted in our day to day lives will be rationed. Imagine that its January and you have no gas or heat because you have used your monthly allowance.The democratic party calls themselves the party of tolerance. Well that is true as long as you believe they way they believe or the way they tell you to believe.I will admit I did not vote for Obama, but when he won I did not throw a fit and tear people and their property down. Its crazy that you see this happening on TV. When you watch the news and they say they are biases, but do not agree with anything or President or Leader have to say or do. When Obama won we may not have liked it, but did not burn my own home to the ground. Its just crazy to me to see what's happening in America today. Do we all remember the saying the good old days. I never thought I would hear myself saying that, but here I am saying it. What has America come to. Its almost unrecognizable. I have never seen so much fighting amongst our selves. The left preaches tolerance, but seems like they are the least tolerant. The right preaches smaller government, but do nothing to correct that. It seems that they are all just out for self. Its sad that it took a tragedy like two major Hurricanes to get the left and right to work together. There seems to be more divide in America than I can ever remember seeing. We need to remember that in the end we are all Americans and we should apologize to anyone for that.America is the greatest country in the World. I don't see people trying to sneak into any other country like they are our Great Nation. People take for granted what they have here. Go visit a third world country then gripe and complain about what you have. It seem like yesterday I posted on here, but its been three weeks. Well today is mothers day. Its a bittersweet day for me. You see I'm married and have a daughter so its a wonderful day to celebrate with my family, but this day also holds a very painful memory for me. On Mothers day 19 years ago my mom died in my arms. From cancer caused by smoking. So for all of you that have your mom give them a hug and let them know what they mean to you and how much you love them. This is a debate that could go on forever. The thing is most accidental shootings involving kids happen because the kids stumble across mom or dad's gun and are curious.I personally started teaching my kid about firearms at a young age and she was shooting with my help at the age of 6. I know a lot of people are going to go OMG, but she has also been taught to respect firearms for what they are and what they can do. She know not to touch a gun without me being there. This is mostly if she is at a friends house or if someone has a firearms with out an adult. She knows to leave and come get me or another adult.Not only is our responsibility to teach out kids to respect these tools, but it is our responsibility to have them safe and secure where they can not be accessed by kids. If you have kids a nightstand a dresser or the closet is not the place for your firearm. If you are going to accept the responsibility of owning a firearm then you need to take the responsibility to store it safely and correctly. Spend the $40.00 dollars for a small gun vault or store it in a safe. Remember to all the gun owners out there RESPONSIBILITY BEGINS WITH YOU. Not only is the food great, but the owner and workers are great also. They make you feel at home with great service and fantastic conversation. On a scale of one to ten I give this place a 10+. I'm hearing people say they are for and I'm hearing them say they are against. I can see the rationality on both sides of the debate. On the for side. It is your Constitutional right to bear arms and this right shale not be infringed. This seems to be the argument on the for side. On the against side. I'm hearing this will give the bad guys the rite to carry concealed. Also hearing that with CPL License the way they are now means people have to go through training to be able to carry concealed. My thought are it is the right of every American Citizen the right to bear arms. I believe that if it were a Constitutional Carry state crime would still stay low. People will still need a CPL license if they want to carry outside the state of Michigan. It is an open carry state now and you don't have to have any special training for that. I hear people talk about the American Flag is a symbol of oppression, hatred, racism. Wow, I never thought I would see that day. It saddens me when I hear people say the American flag or the Betsy Ross flag are a flag of White supremacy.The fact is there could be nothing further than the truth. The Betsy Ross flag with its 13 stars in a circle was a symbol of the 13 colonies that were fighting Tyranny for the very life of this Country. We were in a battle against Brittan and highly out numbered. During this time we had the Militia and the Regulated Militia. The Regulated Militia was what would be known today as our Military. Then the basic Militia, these were the farmers and everyday people that stood with the Regulated Militia to fight against Brittan. Because of this the Second Amendment was written as it was. It reads “ A well regulated Militia , being necessary to the security of a free State”. This is basically saying it was the governments responsibility to protect us from other countries and protect new freedoms. It then goes on to say “ the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, Shall not be infringed”. This is the right of the people to keep and bear arms. We had just gotten out of a war against a Tyrannical government and our forefathers wanted the people to have the ability to defend themselves again if need be against all enemy's foreign or domestic.Getting back to the subject, LOL, of the flag no matter what, it is always has been and always will be a symbol of freedom. not oppression or racism. Back in the days of our forefathers yes there were slaves, but it was of all races not just the black race. Get ready for this one, there were even white slaves in Virginia. Ready for another one, there were an estimated 3775 black slave owners in the South that owned an estimated 12,470 slaves. Most were former slaves themselves that found that owning slaves could raise their social and profit status. William Ellison Jr was a black man, once a slave himself when freed became a slave owner. He owned more slaves than anyone in the south. He one of the wealthiest slave and property owners in the South when he died in 1865, before his death he owned over 2000 slaves. Source (Wikipedia). The bill of rights said all men were created equal. If we want to get down to it the most in enslaved group of people in the world was the Jews an entire nation was enslaved and is still persecuted today, just because of their race and beliefs.Look at what we have today, look where we have come from. We are a melting pot of Nationalities, why because of this symbol of freedom we call the American Flag, People come from all over the world to America for a reason, because we have freedoms here they could never have or hope to have where they come from. So instead of bashing Old Glory maybe we should look at her and smile and say Thank You. Thank you for what she really and truly stands for and thank you for all the men and women of all colors and creeds in history that died so the rest of us could have the freedom to protest or speak our minds.As for the National Anthem I am going to put a post up as to where it came from on my site. I challenge you to watch it and then say it is a song of racism and hatred.Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe there are groups of people that want to destroy us and have been trying to for years with no luck, but now have figured that the only way to do so was to tear us apart from the inside. To again turn brother against brother, friend against friend and race against race. Lets all just take a minute and remember we are all members of the Human race. We are all mothers, fathers, sons , daughters, brother and sisters of someone else.Everyone has their right to speak how they feel and I respect that, but just don’t disrespect me for stating how I feel or believe.As for me and my family we love our flag, we love our country and we love the Lord our God.
